Timeline of Nordstar 31+
The boat, Nordstar 31+, was built in Finland by Linex-Boat Oy.
The builder installs many Volvo engines and is an authorized dealer. Therefore, the registration should be in place. However, Wajax, a dealer in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada could not locate the registration in their system.
Sea trials were performed by the builder, and the engines had approximately 15 hours on them when the boat arrived in Canada.
The boat arrived, shrink wrapped, in Canada in late December, 2020, and was stored in a heated building.
First sea trials in Newfoundland, Canada was in August, 2021. Start up and sea trials were conducted by an authorized dealer, Wajax. The boat was then returned to indoor heated storage with approximately an additional 5-7 hours running time.
Boat was re-launched again in the summer of 2022 and was used for approximately 28 hours during the month of August; and again returned to indoor heated storage. At all times, the engines were flushed and serviced prior to storage.
The boat was launched again in August, 2023 and to date the total engine hours are: Green = 54.2 hours and the Red = 56.6 hours.
The boat was returned to indoor, heated storage after brief usage during August, 2023 and has remained there to this date, August 15, 2025.
