The Natural represents a classic example of Ricky Scarborough’s legendary custom cold-molded wood builds. It is renowned for its aggressive entry, signature Carolina flare, and exceptional head-sea performance.

Key Highlights & Modernization History

While maintaining its classic, soft ride, the vessel has undergone extensive refits to integrate modern tournament-grade technology and amenities:

  • (Repower): Upgraded to twin 900 HP MAN V8 Common Rail diesel engines (Model D2848LE423), significantly boosting performance and efficiency.

  • (Stabilization): Installed a Seakeeper NG9 gyro stabilizer, completely transforming its comfort at sea and tournament fishability.

  • (Helm & Systems Refit): Redesigned helm featuring a modern electronics suite with triple Garmin GPSMAP 8215 displays, Omni Sonar, professional sonar modules, open-array radar, and a FLIR thermal camera. New exhaust risers and a Blue Water Desalination water maker were also added.

  • 2017–2018 (Interior & Mechanical Updates): Refreshed with new interior carpeting and wallpaper. Mechanically upgraded with a new 21.5KW Cummins Onan generator, a rebuilt Eskimo ice chipper, and refrigerated lower mezzanine boxes
