Bill Shewbridge was born in Baltimore, MD and spent his early years on and around the Chesapeake Bay in Riviera Beach, MD. In 1976, he and his family moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL where he has enjoyed the beaches and local waters ever since.

More About Bill

While attending Broward College locally, he started working at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Marina as a dock-hand.

Over the next 11 years, several promotions and marina acquisitions provided Bill the opportunity to become Director of Marina Operations for the top 3 marinas in Fort Lauderdale….Pier 66, Bahia Mar and the Marriott.

In 1995, he was recruited by Richard Bertram Yachts to become their 1st yacht-broker candidate at RBY University. Since then, Bill has had the pleasure to become friends and work with many great customers. Those friendships have afforded him some incredible memories and yachting experiences, including trips to the Galapagos, Hawaiian and Bahamian Islands.

Based in Allied Marine’s Fort Lauderdale office, Bill brings an impressive global perspective, having successfully delivered over 196 yachts across the United States and around the world. His hands-on experience and dedication make him a trusted resource, ready to guide clients through every step of the yacht purchase and ownership journey.

Beyond his professional achievements, Bill is a passionate sports enthusiast who continues to play competitive basketball. Living just a mile from the beach, he fully embraces the South Florida lifestyle. At heart, he’s a devoted family man who values time spent with his wife, two sons, and two step-sons—whether they’re enjoying a quiet day together or making the most of every moment.
